Malecón
A famous seaside promenade stretching 8 kilometres along the coast. It’s a popular spot for walking, and enjoying stunning views of the ocean, especially at sunset.

El Morro (Castillo Del Morro)
A historic fortress guarding the entrance to Havana Bay. It offers panoramic views of the city and the sea and has a lighthouse and a museum detailing its history.

Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Museum of Fine Arts)
This museum is divided into two sections: one focusing on Cuban art and the other on international art. It features an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts.

Gran Teatro de La Habana
A stunning theatre known for its intricate architecture and beautiful interiors. It’s home to the Cuban National Ballet and hosts various performances, including opera, ballet, and concerts.

Finca Vigía (Hemingway’s House)
The former residence of American writer Ernest Hemingway, located in the suburb of San Francisco de Paula. The house is preserved as a museum, showcasing Hemingway’s personal belongings and memorabilia.

Revolution Square (Plaza de la Revolución)
A significant site in Cuban history, known for its large open space and iconic monuments, including the José Martí Memorial and murals of Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos on nearby government buildings.

Partagás Cigar Factory
One of the oldest cigar factories in Havana, it provides insight into the cigar-making process and the history of Cuban cigars.

Callejón de Hamel
A vibrant alleyway filled with colourful murals, sculptures, and street art celebrating Afro-Cuban culture. It’s a hub for live rumba music and cultural events.

Museo del Ron (Rum Museum)
Located in the Havana Club rum distillery, this museum explores the history and production of Cuban rum.

Plaza de Armas
The oldest square in Havana, surrounded by historic buildings, including the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, which now houses the Museum of the City of Havana. The square is also home to a lively book market.

Museo de la Revolución (Museum of the Revolution)
Housed in the former Presidential Palace, this museum chronicles the history of the Cuban Revolution with exhibits on the events leading up to the revolution, the revolution itself, and its aftermath.

Paseo del Prado
A tree-lined boulevard that runs from the Malecón to Parque Central. It’s known for its beautiful architecture, street artists, and lively atmosphere. It’s a great place for a leisurely stroll.

Tropicana Club
An iconic open-air cabaret known for its elaborate shows featuring music, dance, and colourful costumes. It’s a quintessential Havana nightlife experience.

Cayman Isles

From Havana head due South to the Cayman Islands and to Georgetown where you can enjoy the swashbuckling pirate’s tour aboard the Trolley Roger Train or take a speedboat to the sand bar where you can float around for hours in the warm shallow waters with the stingrays.

South East of Havana is Camaguey, baroque cupolas soar above cobbled thoroughfares where musicians perform and smartly dressed old men play chequers. Cafes and restaurants tastefully decorated in memorabilia illuminating the city’s glamorous past serve excellent coffee, rum and seafood. From Camaguey you can explore and then cool off on one of Cuba’s longest loveliest beaches.
